Being an astronaut is not for everyone and micro gravity does have a habit of sorting who has what it takes to function in space. I’ve often heard astronauts say that parabolic flights are harder on the system than the weightlessness of orbit.
I shot for Complex.com recently with Speedy Norman where he tests his grit as an astronaut. Watch the video below to find out how he did.
The Zero-G "Vomit Comet" is certainly not for everyone. On the Season 3 premiere of "Jobs Unlisted," Speedy takes on the difficulties of becoming an astronaut—from performing a space walk, to landing a NASA spacecraft, and even a tailspin simulator—but it's zero gravity that poses the biggest challenge.
